I love to branch out and try new ideas
The Artists bio
I was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire in 1976, after spending 9 years abroad I moved to Ayr in 2005. At school I excelled in practical subjects, especially arts. I started painting aged 8 with my Dad using oils and a pallet knife, well not pallet more like butter! I exhibited my 1st piece aged 13.
I started painting again seriously 10 years ago, around the time I moved to Ayr. Moving into a house with bare walls I had too. It’s only the last couple of years I started producing work on request. In the last 18 months my Art has moved on very quickly from displaying in the North Harbour Cafe to joining the OSA. Acrylics and Canvas are my main mediums, BUT, I love to branch out and try new ideas. Like using slate, wood etc, And oils water colours etc. Landscapes, Cityscapes, Animals and pet portraits. Just now I’m passionate about my Scottish animals, that of all things to paint on, tree slices.
