Committee Roles – 2018

With the aim of making the organisation of OSA events more sustainable and create a more realistic division of tasks to help bring OSA 2018 to the public, below is a list of committee roles.  If you are interested in any of the listed roles then please complete the form below to volunteer.

 Core tasks
ChairChair meetings, plan, co-ordinate and quality check activity, primary contact with councils/grant providers, organise launch events
SecretaryArrange meeting dates, minute taking, non-membership contacts including sending out newsletters via mail chimp
TreasurerComplete all accounts & financial reporting, paypal/bank account payments, providing financial support on any grant applications
Venue Co-ordinatorContact OSA-organised new and existing venues, establish cost/comission/numbers/space, confirm exhibiting artists and support the relationship where any issues, gain agreement from venue to share on social media, where to put up banners
Marketing Co-ordinator:Create list of where to have brochures/leaflets, who to send invite/date cards to and responsibility for sending them, co-ordinate leaflet handouts in build up, establish places to put additional banners
Advertising Co-ordinator: Price up the cost of advertising, assess readership reach, listener numbers, record relevant deadlines, establish list of relevant press and radio contacts
Sales Co-ordinator:Collate brochure advertising lists, co-ordinate sales calls, look for suitable corporate sponsorship leads, establish alternative sales opportunities
Social Media – FacebookSchedule formal posts for Meet The Artist/Maker, like & share adhoc artist content throughout the year, manage Facebook advertising
Social Media – TwitterSchedule formal tweets for Meet The Artist/Maker, like & retweet adhoc artist content, manage Twitter advertising 
WebmasterUpdate and manage website including all updates and backups, uploading new/amended artist details, adding relevant pages & forms – must have knowledge of (or be prepared to learn) WordPress
Brochure LeadCo-ordinate brochure (plus advertising/leaflet/other marketing material) design, ensure all member info is accurate, co-ordinate proof-reading, liaise with sales co-ordinator and treasurer as required.  
Press Co-ordinatorCreate copy for all publications, collate bank of relevant photos.
Membership Co-ordinatorManage renewals process, liaise with new members, communication with the membership throughout the year.  Co-ordinate Selection Panel for new member applications and confirm acceptance (or not where relevant)
Friends of OSA Co-ordinatorCommunication and co-ordination of activities relating to Friends of OSA, advertising of scheme going forward.
Exhibition Co-ordinatorPrimary contact for exhibition venue, co-ordinate submissions, payments (if relevant), organise drop off and pick up, establish hanging/placement of exhibits
Equality & Diversity AdvisorAdvisory role, not full committee role
Selection Panel MemberNot committee role, key committee contact is membership co-ordinator
