In this year’s open studio exhibition, Allan McMillan celebrates the changing light in landscapes and seascapes from Ayrshire to the Hebrides.

Allan’s work is executed in naturalistic and semi-abstract styles.

Most of the works are small in scale, using a variety of media, such as oils; acrylics; pastels and mixed media.

In addition, there will be a range of mounted drawings in ink available, alongside a selection of his recently published poetry books.

From the A77 (Ayr-Stranraer road), come into the town of Maybole. Turn off on the B7023, for two miles towards Crosshill Village (signposted).

Once in the village, proceed along King street beyond the war memorial, then turn left up Kirkmichael Road for 200 yards before taking a sharp right-hand turn into Back Street. No. 10 is the first white house situated on your right behind an outer stone wall.

There is offroad parking for approximately four cars, or you can park on the street itself.

The studio area is situated in the garden to the rear of the property with extra viewing upstairs in the house.
