A retired graphic designer and lecturer, I now spend my time exploring the Scottish countryside and pottering in my garden.
These locations provide endless inspiration for my art which predominantly features florals, dramatic landscapes and seascapes. The ever-changing seasons, light and weather present so many artistic opportunities.
I am a mixed media artist and printmaker, working in collage, ink and watercolour to capture a loose, expressive response to the environment.
Recently I have been creating collagraph and Tetra Pak prints using an assortment of everyday items such as milk cartons that would otherwise be discarded – I love the concept of creative recycling!
Photography also plays a vital role in my creative process, both as inspiration and to produce richly textured and evocative imagery in its own right.
